There are many books and magazine articles about bikini diets and bikini 6 week plans and even the 7 day bikini diet. But what are they all about?

Bikini diets tend to appear in spring and are focuses on not only losing some weight to fit into your bikini but also to improve the look and textue of your skin.

Whether you want to look stunning in your bikini or just want to be able to run down the beach without being redfaced and out of breath then you could consider a healthy eating plan.

Again bear in mind the general principals of dieting - that if claims sound to good to be true then they propbably are.

Groups and online diets like weightwatchers will provide a good diet. Make your goal losing a sensible amount of weight and combine it with exercise to get the most benefit.

Lots of bikini diets include body brushing. This is something done on dry skin and then you apply lots of moisturiser. This is supposed to improve the texture of your skin.

Q: How can I hide my tummy?

A: Of course you could do some exercise and try dieting to tone up your belly. This would help you look flatter if you do some tummy toning exercises.
A tankin gives you some midrift coverage - you can pick ones which actually meet. A tankin consists of a vest like top with more coverage than a normal bikini and bikini bottoms.

Q: how can I hide my bottom without having to wear a victorian costume?

A: A more retro style swimsuit can help you hide your bottom. Try a beach wrap or kaftan if you're really self-concious. Also a little more walking everyday and less choccy biccys might help.

Q: How can I look more busty?

A: You can now buy gel-filled bikini tops, or ones with moulded cups and graduated padding to enchance your bust.

Q: I have a big bust - how can I be supported in swimwear?

A: There is a strapless bar which would work for sunbathing under a costume, but there are also underwired bikinis available.

Q: I'm a bit pear shaped - what should I wear?

A: If you try a padded top then this could even you out, high cut briefs can lenghten your legs but don't always suit you, one piece suits with details at the top can help distract from your bigger half.

 

Don't forget that some dieting, moderate exercise and plenty of moiisturiser on your legs can make you look and feel loads better. Start early in the year to work towards your intended holiday date.
