Tesco GI Diet

Read my personal review of this dieting book which will really change your life.

I have lost weight with this great book Paul McKenna's book I can make you slim.
New revised edition!

I haven't been hungry since I started this diet and there is no weighing, measuring or special foods to eat.

Very easy to follow - you can eat ALL your favourite foods!

I personally recommend you buy this book.
It has changed the way I look at food and dieting! You will find it easier than ever before to diet - and it won't seem like dieting as you're allowed all the foods you like!

Want to diet? Need some help? We've got it.

Before you start a diet you should know your weight and measurements. (Chest, waist and hips) and keep a record of these. You can then calculate your BMI using your height and weight.

A healthy BMI is in the range 20-25.
Always seek medical advice before embarking on a diet.

How to lose weight

People often want to lose weight without dieting. This is silly. It is very impractical to lose weight without some serious effort of dieting.
You get fat by eating too much.

The percentage of people who are overweight due to glands or medical problems is a tiny tiny percentage. You are almost certainly not one of them. Ask your doctor if you don't believe me.

If you have got fat by eating too much then you must get thin again by eating less.

How much weight should I aim to lose every week?

Healthy rate to lose weight is about 2lb a week on average.

However there will be weeks even when you've not cheated that you don't lose any weight at all. This can be very disheartening (less so if you did cheat because at least there is a reason)
If you haven't drunk much water over the week you might not lose weight as your body might retain water. Hormonal chanegs can alter how much you lose. Also you might notice an inch reduction on your measurements but not lose weight. If you are doing a lot of exercise (more than an hour a day maybe) then you might be putting on more muscle than you're losing fat.

Your personal weight loss will vary. There will be weeks when you might not lose any weight, but you might lose inches. Don't get disheartened. If you give up and stuff yourself then you're making even more work for yourself.

If you have a "must eat" moment then please grab an apple, some melon, or bananas - any fruit - and eat that. By picking a healthy item to scoff you're doing yourself less damage.

We all need to eat more fruit and vegetables. America and France recommend 9 and 10 portions of fruit and vegetables every day.

The nation's rising obesity problems mean many citizens are not only too large for scanners but their fat is too dense for the rays to penetrate.
