Tikka Masala from Bibijis
Bibijis
tikka masala sauce comes in a see through pouch that you store in
the fridge.
Bibijis Curry
Sauces
It's got a unique chilli system which is very easy to deal with!
When I read this I thought that maybe you got an extra sachet that
had the chilis in but it doesn't. It's cleverer than that! The whole
chillis are in the sauce already and you can leave them in if you
like your curry hotter or take them out if you like it milder -
before you heat it up. If you're really into chilli then you can
crush them up - or if you're very brave like me you can leave them
in whole and then munch them too!
The sachet is resealable which is fantastic if you're only cooking
for one - simply reseal the bag and put it back in the fridge for
up to 3 days!
The sauce is a great colour - a nice mild tumeric colour with interesting
green coriander in. It looks great and pours out easily.
The recipe for cooking is give on the back - simply fry off some
chicken in a little oil and then pour in the sauce and heat through
for about 15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Serve with the usual accompaniments - rice, naan or chappattis.
You could also serve it on a jacket potato too!
I cooked half with chicken and then in a different pan cooked onion
and mushroom and added the sauce - giving me two tikka dishes to
serve!
The sauce is less than 2% fat which makes it loads healthier than
tinned or jars of curry sauce and massively better for you than
a takeaway!
Bibijis do this sauce in tikka masala, korma, bhuna, jalfrezi,
kashmiri, rogan josh and vindaloo.
You can buy them online or from their stockists in the Coventry
area! I hope they're available in supermarkets soon!
Calorie count 43.1kcal /100g So a whole sachet is only just over
200 calories. It's a really healthy lolw fat way to eat curry at
home!
I'd give this a 10/10 rating - it's absolutely perfect for people
who like chilli as well as those who like a milder curry!
