or false? Should you follow strange diets you hear about? Remember if a diet makes crazy promises then they are probably false promises. Any diet which wants you to restrict your food intake to one or two items is not healthy! A balanced diet is more likely to be something you'll enjoy and continue to eat. I don't believe you should do a short term diet which really restricts what you eat. If you want to detox then do that - there are some nice guidelines in books about these days, but they all recommend that you take time out of your normal routine to relax because you're not feeding your body the normal amount of calories it needs to use.
