Tesco GI Diet

Read my personal review of this dieting book which will really change your life.

I have lost weight with this great book Paul McKenna's book I can make you slim.
New revised edition!

I haven't been hungry since I started this diet and there is no weighing, measuring or special foods to eat.

Very easy to follow - you can eat ALL your favourite foods!

I personally recommend you buy this book.
It has changed the way I look at food and dieting! You will find it easier than ever before to diet - and it won't seem like dieting as you're allowed all the foods you like!

When we need help most is when the house is still full of hundreds of tasty things, boxes of chocolates bought for us by kind friends.

All the good intentions in the world is for my diet to start January 1st, so why by the 9th January am I sat here wondering why I've not really started it.

I've had two false starts, ok three, OK, its the 9th. That's at least nine days I've woken up thinking I'll eat less today.

Why haven't I managed a full day on my diet yet?

Well for Christmas I was given a hamper full of the most delicious food treats imaginable - this would have supplied all my christmas goodies that I needed *but* as I'd already got my treats in by the time it arrived it meant we were a bit stuffed to the gills with choccies and nice things.

So by the start of January we've not eaten it all. This means I have a constant supply of treats available and I really love chocolate.

I've also rediscovered my wok which isn't bad for my diet at all as chinese stir fry means I can eat loads of veggies and they're not really overcooked so full of vitamins still.

However its the chocolate which gets me every time.

I'm doing to listen to my Paul McKenna CD tonight (Or watch the show he's got on tonight)

But here are a few tips to help you (and me) in the post Christmas Diet

  • Don't buy food which you know you can't resist
  • One box of chocolates is enough for Christmas
  • Buy people flowers for their birthday - not edible treats.
  • Don't give up. One slip isn't the end.
  • Tomorrow isn't soon enough, Make the diet start NOW
  • Drink plenty of nice fresh cold tap water.
  • Eat plenty of fruit and veggies - make getting 5 a day part of your new regime whichever diet you're using
  • Don't give up.
  • Ring a friend for support
  • Think about joining a group - online if you're busy (We list a couple on this site and they offer free assessments)
  • Think before you eat.
  • Drink more water! A glass of water will hydrate you and should take your mind off feeling hungry!
  • Throw the choccies out or give them away (Take them to your nearest old people's home/orphanage, charity shop, ask your neighbours if they want them ... just get rid of them.)
  • Exercise!
  • Plan for next year - just buy less choccies or treats!
