New revised edition!

I haven't been hungry since I started this diet and there is no weighing, measuring or special foods to eat.

Very easy to follow - you can eat ALL your favourite foods!

I personally recommend you buy this book.
It has changed the way I look at food and dieting! You will find it easier than ever before to diet - and it won't seem like dieting as you're allowed all the foods you like!

I recently saw a program with Jamie Oliver on and Bill Clinton and friends went to Jamie's restuarant. When they got there they said they couldn't have the previously agreed menu as they were all on the South Beach Diet.

Its a diet devised by Dr Agaston - and concentrates on eating the right carbs and the right fats. I've recently bought a copy of his bookk - "The South Beach Diet" and will be writing a more thorough review of it shortly.

You eat 3 meals a day and have two snacks too.

Three phases in SouthBeach Diet.

Phase 1:

Normal portions, all carbohydrates are restricted.
Lasts two weeks.
Foods include: chicken, turkey, fish. low-glycemic vegetables, low fat cheese, nuts and eggs.
Weight loss expected 8-13 pounds!


Phase 2

Some prohibited foods are allowed back onto the diet.
Weightloss expected 1-2 pounds a week.
Duration - until at desired target weight.

Phase 3

Maintenance - for life.
A healthy balanced diet.

If weight increased return to phase 1.

South Beach Diet What it is
The South Beach Diet™ was developed by renowned cardiologist, Dr. Arthur Agatston. Rather than focusing on low-fat or low-carb foods, Dr. Agatston recommends a balanced diet that incorporates good fats and good carbs, and lots of delicious food! This “smart carb” diet consists of Three Phases:


Phase 1: Start Losing Weight. This is a two-week period of eating proteins – like meat, chicken, and fish – and plenty of vegetables, eggs, cheese, and nuts. You’ll cut out bread, pasta, and fruit – to help you banish cravings for unhealthy carbs. But don’t worry – you’ll add them back in!

Phase 3: Your Diet For Life. Nothing’s off limits in this phase. You’ll continue to follow the basic principles to maintain your weight and feel healthy.
