Get active at the weekend!
I know you've probably had a hard week at work but don't let your
dieting good work go to waste at the weekend.
If you're not careful you'll sit around doing nothing and that is
when you'll start to snack!
Even if you're not going out you can burn some calories by doing
house work, washing the car, the windows, the dog, ironing, doing
the laundry, vacuuming etc Plan to avoid breaking your diet
Don't let things happen just by chance. Organise what you'll be
doing to ensure you get some healthy exercise at the weekend. Maybe
take your partner out for an extra long walk if you're lucky with the
weather. Take the kids out and play frisbee or football or even rounders!
Walk the dog!
Get a good walk in. It'll do you good.
Plan your meals so you don't end up having to have takeaway or junk
food.
Avoid the dreaded alcohol if possible
Stay out of the pub unless you can stick to diet drinks or fresh
juices. Walk to the pub though - go the long way round!
Treat yourself if you're good
If you have a good weekend diet wise treat yourself to a small pressie
or treat on Sunday evening. It doesn't have to be food, maybe a special
bubble bath or a rented film?
Anticipate dieting dilemmas
If you think about problems before hand you'll be prepared.
What
if you get invited to a barbq, do you know how to eat low fat? Eat
well before you go, so you're not tempted by fatty snacks.
Cinema? Take only enough money for the tickets and not enough for popcorn!
